1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, quotations, rentals, purchases, and services provided by Float Society. By confirming a booking, paying a deposit, or using our website/services, you agree to these terms.
2. Quotations
2.1 All quotations are valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated.
2.2 Pricing is subject to availability, travel distance, venue access, setup times, and scope changes.
2.3 Quotes may change if event requirements are amended after issue.
3. Bookings & Payments
3.1 A booking is only confirmed once the required deposit/payment has been received.
3.2 Float Society reserves dates on a first-paid, first-confirmed basis.
3.3 Full payment must be made no later than 7 days before the event, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.4 Late payments may result in cancellation or release of the booking slot.
4. Deposits
4.1 Deposits are non-refundable and secure your date, planning time, stock allocation, and scheduling.
4.2 If the client postpones, Float Society may transfer the deposit to a new date subject to availability.
5. Cancellations
5.1 Client cancellations made more than 14 days before the event may receive a partial credit at Float Society’s discretion.
5.2 Cancellations within 14 days of the event may forfeit all payments made.
5.3 Custom items already ordered or produced are non-refundable.
6. Postponements / Date Changes
6.1 Date changes are subject to availability.
6.2 Prices may be adjusted if costs have changed or the new event date falls in a peak season.
7. Setup & Collection
7.1 The client must ensure safe and timely access to the venue.
7.2 Delays caused by venue restrictions, security, weather, or client lateness may reduce setup scope without refund.
7.3 Where collection is required, hired items remain the property of Float Society and must be available at agreed collection times.
8. Balloons & Decor Conditions
8.1 Balloons are sensitive to heat, wind, sunlight, sharp objects, and rough handling.
8.2 Float Society cannot guarantee balloon longevity once setup is completed.
8.3 Outdoor installations are at client risk unless otherwise agreed.
9. Hire Items / Damage
9.1 Props, stands, signage, plinths, backdrops, and hired items remain the property of Float Society.
9.2 The client is liable for loss, theft, or damage while items are at the venue or in the client’s possession.
9.3 Repair or replacement costs may be charged.
10. Client Responsibilities
The client must provide:

Accurate event details

Safe working environment

Power access if required

Correct venue times

Permission from venue management where necessary
11. Photography & Marketing
Float Society may photograph setups and use images/videos for marketing, website, and social media unless the client requests otherwise in writing before the event.
12. Force Majeure
Float Society is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, strikes, venue closure, accidents, load shedding disruptions, or emergencies.
13. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Float Society’s liability is limited to the amount paid by the client for the relevant booking.
14. Website Use
All website content, branding, images, logos, and designs remain the property of Float Society and may not be copied or reused without permission.
15. POPIA / Privacy
Client information will be handled responsibly and only used for bookings, communication, and service delivery in line with applicable privacy laws.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
